2008 Catholic Youth Leadership Camp

The Ontario State Council of the Knights of Columbus are pleased to announce that the fifteenth annual Catholic Youth Leadership Camp will take place from July 28 - August 2, 2008 at the St. Francis Centre in Mono Mills. Over 1,900 students have participated in the past, and we look forward to a great experience in July / August of this year

Students between the ages of 16-18 from high schools throughout Ontario are invited to apply to attend this camp. Under the theme of ‘What Must I Do’ our camp will develop physical, intellectual and spiritual talents to reveal the gifts that our participants possess, and through these gifts, what they are called to contribute. Organized around a schedule that draws attention to all elements of the human person, the participants will experience challenges and opportunities to shed light on the question posed by our theme. In the past, we have received letters from participants who have indicated that the camp helped them to develop more confidence and as a result increase their involvement in their local high school.

Again this year, we need your help to identify candidates for the camp experience. We invite you to invite those whom you see as leaders or potential leaders to apply for acceptance at our camp. Space is limited to 60 campers, and applications are due by May 2, 2008. In identifying potential participants, look for students who have demonstrated leadership abilities and are open to the role of faith in their lives. The camp will be a six day opportunity to join with youth from across Ontario in a time of play, reflection, discernment and friendship while interacting with a talented staff that is committed to the success of our youth and the camp.

INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS
We are excited that you are thinking about applying to our camp. The program is going to be great. It will bring together 60 students, just like yourself, for six jam-packed days of activity. There will be plenty to do and great people to spend time with.
