On Saturday April 18th. our council Sponsored a Highway Clean Up on highway #26 in Collingwood. We had twelve Knights including the Mayor of Collingwood a Knight of our council the Vice Principal and another teacher plus six students from Jean Vanier Catholic High School in Collingwood take part in the Project.
Mayor Carrier was presented with a Knights of Columbus Jacket with his name and our council embriodered.

On Thursday April 2nd. 09 Grand Knight Domenic Sanfilippo and Deputy Grand Knight Don Mc Donald were interviewed on Peak 95.1 Radio Chat Show by DJ John Nichols about the Good Works we do in the community. Included in the interview at our request was Jory Pritchard Kerr Executive Director representing Collingwood General Marine Hospital to help promote our Magic Show in May, as we are Donating the Funds from the show to help pay for the new Fluoroscopy/X-Ray Room at the hospital. The interview went very well we thanked the Community and Businesses for all the support they have given us through the years.

With the support of our District Deputy, Harry Boles, the other Councils in District 30, the merchants of Perth and a lot of hard work and commitment by the members of Council 3531 the Hometown Games were open with great fanfare. Our Chaplin Father Al opened with a blessing, our mayor John Fenik addressed the athletes and welcomed them to Perth and then two Pipers and our 4th Degree Honour guard lead a parade of the athletes around the field to open an incredible day of competition.
